MPSC Exams postpones, tweet by CMO department, Interference in MPSC rights?
The MPSC is a constitutional body and is autonomous. Only the Commission has the power to decide on examinations. The state government can postpone the exam by trusting the MPSC. However, the right to declare belongs to the MPSC. It is inappropriate for the Chief Minister's Office to tweet, a former MPSC president told. The decision to postpone the exam is welcome. With the prevalence of corona increasing, it was dangerous for students from rural areas to enter the city. Also, if the exam had not been postponed, many students would have dropped out of the exam, said Mahesh Badhe and Kiran Nimbhore of MPSC Students Rights.
"We have no idea that all the MPSC exams have been postponed by the state government," a senior MPSC official said. But, the number of corona patients in the state is increasing. Therefore, the state government is not in favor of conducting various examinations in the state. It is being said that the state government may have decided to postpone the state service pre-examination to be held on September 20 and the joint examination to be held on October 11. However, the decision to postpone the exam was expected to be announced by the MPSC.
